What We Teach

Grace Church is committed to teaching the whole counsel of God with clarity, reverence, and faithfulness to Scripture. Our beliefs flow directly from the Bible and are summarized in the historic 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Below is a brief overview of the core doctrines we teach.

  • We teach that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is our final and sufficient authority for all faith, doctrine, and life.
    (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

  • We teach that there is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in essence, distinct in role, and perfect in unity.
    (Matthew 28:19)

  • We teach that God the Father is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, ruling all according to His perfect will and purpose.
    (Ephesians 1:3–6)

  • We teach that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man, lived sinlessly, died as a substitute for sinners, and rose bodily from the dead. He is the only Savior and Mediator between God and man.
    (1 Timothy 2:5)

  • We teach that the Holy Spirit regenerates sinners, comforts believers, gives spiritual gifts, produces holiness, and empowers the church for ministry.
    (John 16:8–15)

  • We teach that all people are created in God’s image but are fallen in Adam, spiritually dead, and unable to save themselves apart from God’s grace.
    (Romans 5:12)

  • We teach that salvation is entirely the work of God — by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — resulting in repentance, obedience, and perseverance.
    (Ephesians 2:8–9)

  • We teach that the church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. The local church exists for worship, discipleship, fellowship, mission, and discipline under the headship of Christ and the leadership of biblically qualified elders.
    (Acts 2:42–47)

  • We teach believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Christ and entrance into the visible church.
    (Romans 6:3–5)

  • We teach that the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic meal of remembrance and unity, open to baptized believers walking in fellowship with Christ.
    (1 Corinthians 11:23–29)

  • We teach that Christians are called to holiness, spiritual growth, stewardship, service, obedience, and Christlike love in all areas of life.
    (Galatians 2:20)

  • We teach that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that parents are responsible to raise their children in the instruction of the Lord.
    (Genesis 2:24)

  • We teach the future, physical return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, eternal life for the redeemed, and eternal punishment for the unrepentant.
    (John 5:28–29)

  • We joyfully embrace the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of biblical doctrine and as a guide for unity, teaching, and practice in the church.
