Reforming Lives Through Sincere Faith
Here at Grace Church Chipley we seek to see lives renewed by the transformative power of Gods word and Spirit, forming sincere faith that produces obedience, unity, and spiritual transformation.
What Is the Gospel?
God is holy, righteous, and perfectly just. He created us in His image to know Him, love Him, and obey Him. Yet every one of us has sinned against Him. We have broken His law in thought, word, and deed. Scripture says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Because God is just, sin must be punished. The penalty for sin is death — not only physical death, but eternal separation from God.
But this is where the good news begins.
God, in His mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ. Fully God and fully man, Jesus lived the perfect life we failed to live and willingly went to the cross. There, He bore the wrath of God in the place of sinners. He died as a substitute, satisfying divine justice. Three days later, He rose bodily from the grave, proving the payment was accepted and defeating sin and death.
Salvation is not earned by works, religion, or personal effort. It is a gift of grace. The Bible calls every person to repent — to turn from sin — and to place their trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” — Acts 16:31
If you have not trusted in Christ, we urge you today: repent and believe the gospel. If you have questions, we would love to speak with you.
